From Cañete (Petrol Stations) to Jahuay (km 179, Toll Booth) the Pan Americana runs in parallel along the Pacific coast, and afterwards turns left just shortly before Chincha, crosses the Pampa of Villacuri and arrives in Ica. Important waypoint in this stage is: Chincha Alta (km 196), town in which you will find many stores, gas stations, banks as well as mechanic car services and lodgings. A little bit further you will find the turn off route to Ayacucho (Via Los Libertadores Km 227), Pisco (Km 232) and Paracas (Km 245). We recommend to drive acrefully between kms 154 and 170 (This is a dessert aerea, and has some villages as well as fog).
