    Thanks.
Information on accommodation and petrol stations on the way would be very useful.

  2. Hi Alan:

I take it that you are driving from Lima to Ayacucho and there on to Andahuaylas and abancay cusco etc. Important notice:

    1) Rent a Turbo Diesel Car
    2) Take with you Tire Pressure Measuring gauge
    3) Make sure that you have supplies such as Beverages, Excedrin Migrane, and if possible rent an Oxygen Tank, incase you suffer Hight illnes
    4) Before climbing the Andean Roads lower your tire pressure from 30 Pounds to 26 pounds, thus avoiding tire puncture etc.
    5) Be always aware of animal crossing or villagers
    6) You will pass bye Canete, in this town Tank your car completely full with diesel, Look for a Petrol Station Called El Batan, here you can eat, buy food and beverages and rest a little before continuing your journey.
    7) From Canete to San Clemente its about 30 kms you will arrive at a junction in San Clemente take Left Turn and you are on the Libertadores. 38 kms further you will find Tambo Colorado, have a look at this place and then continue to Huaytara, where I stringly recommend you have a look at the Church of Huaytara built on an inka foundation. 8) If you are using a TDI Engine and you have fully tanked in Canete you will arrive with the same tank in Ayacucho. In ayacucho the only hotel I would personally recommend you to take would be the Ayacucho PLaza Hotel!

Alan If you require further information let me know I will send you the road maps so that you have first hand information!

    Kindest Regards/Martin Harbaum
