Deviation at San Clemente to Ayacucho (331 kms). Route 24, asphalted known as the via de Los Libertadores. In this section the road starts ascending slowly towards the valley of the Pisco River (Valle del Rio Pisco) passing bye various small towns such as Independencia (at 15 kms away) Humay (31 kms) Huancano (67 kms) and Huaytara (109 kms in the Huancavelica Department), this place is of touristical interest. Between Humay and Huancano you will find the ruins of Tambo Colorado (At the site you will find a museum) and between Huancano and Huaytara (toll booth and Pacra Bridge) next way point is the mountain pass known as Apacheta (4,746 m.a.s.l) this is the highest point of the journey from which a slow descend starts and culminates after 97 kms in Ayacucho.
